      DANVILLE RECREATION MEETING/INFORMATION SESSION
      Thursday, December 20, 2007 @ 6:30 pm

The Danville Recreation Committee is in the process of preparing the 2008 budget. The Recreation Committee currently has 3 openings that need to be filled in order to successfully run the summer program and offer new programs. The salaries for summer program have been included in our 2008 budget to the Selectmen and Budget Committee. It has been stipulated that if three new committee members do not join by the end of the year (12/31/2007) specifically to organize and oversee the summer program then the monies will be removed from the proposed 2008 budget. An information session explaining what the Summer Program volunteer positions would entail will be held at our next regularly scheduled Recreation Meeting on Thursday, December 20, 2007 @ 6:30 pm at Danville Town Hall. Any interested residents are welcomed and encouraged to attend.

The Friends of Danville Recreation are now selling DANVILLE T-shirts

These t-shirts; which spell out the Danville name in trees, were designed by Litchfield artist “T-shirt Pete” Duquette, who has done similar work in other local communities. These unique t-shirts are available in sizes S – XXL for $15.00. All proceeds will benefit town recreation facilities and activities.

T-shirts are available at Danville Town Hall during normal business hours or by contacting Dawn Weston at 378-0436.
