    Learning Express Library

      Learning Express Library is an interactive online learning platform featuring over 770 practice tests, tutorials, and e-books related to job search and workplace skills improvement. Step-by-step, easy-to-use resume and cover letter creation. Practice exams for career certification and licensing exam preparation, college entrance and graduate school admissions. GED exam preparation (both in English & Spanish) and basic skills improvement in reading, writing and math for all ages. You'll get immediate scoring, complete answer explanations, and an individualized analysis of your results.

    On Wednesday, July 1st at 11AM we will show a movie about a grumpy tough-minded old man whose prize possession is a 1973 Ford he keeps in cherry condition. When a neighboring teen tries to steal it he sets out to reform the youth.

    Colby Memorial Library invites you to register for our 2009 Summer Reading Program, “Summertime and the Reading is Easy.” This exciting program begins on June 29th and continues through mid August. The Summer Reading Program is sponsored annually by CHILIS(Children’s Librarians of New Hampshire) a division of the New Hampshire Library Association. Eager young summer readers can visit the library beginning on June 29th to sign up for the program.  On July 2 at 1PM Fungo and Slider of the New Hampshire Fisher Cats Baseball Team will tell stories at the library. At 2PM on July 2 Marty Kelley and Steve Blunt will perform at the Kick-off at the Danville Fire Association Hall. For more information, please call the library at 382-6733.

    Once again we will offer a summer reading program for adults called Reading for Rewards.

    Friends of the Colby Memorial Library will be raffling a basket of handmade soaps donated by Karen Clough of Rocky Corner Soapworks. The drawing will be held on Saturday, August 1st.
