    Summer Hours: Our hours will remain the same for the summer: Monday and Tuesday 12-8, Wednesday and Thursday 10-6 and Saturday 10-1. We will be closed on Saturday, July 5th, August 23rd, and August 30th.

    Adult Summer Reading Program: Read for Rewards! Weekly prizes funded by the Friends of the Colby Library. Our program begins on July 1 and runs through Wednesday, August 27. Each time you come to the library and return books you will receive a raffle ticket for our weekly drawing. The first week’s prize is a gift certificate for the ice cream of your choice at Mayo’s Ice Cream Shop. Thank you, Corinne Mayo, for donating the first prize. At the end of the program on Wednesday, August 27 at 5PM we will serve refreshments and discuss the good books you read during the summer!

    Senior Movie: On Wednesday, July 2 at 11AM we will show a movie about a Texas congressman who persuaded the CIA to train and arm resistance fighters in Afghanistan to fend off the Soviet Union.

    Summer reading program: Colby Memorial Library invites your child to participate in the 2008 summer reading program, sponsored by The Children’s Librarians of New Hampshire. This year’s theme is ”G’Day for Reading. The theme will focus on Australia. 

     Registration will begin on Monday, June 23rd. Here’s a chance to have your kids explore Australia!  So get your kangaroos and didgeridoos and get down under at the Colby Memorial Library. For more information please call 382-6733.

    Scrabble group meets on Wednesday mornings at 10.  Please call to sign up.
