ZBA meeting

Event Date:
Tuesday, April 11, 2017 - 7:30pm to 8:00pm

The Danville Zoning Board of Adjustment will hold a public meeting on April 11, 2017 in the Town Hall to discuss an appeal for a rehearing. This began as the Danville Heritage Commission appealing an administrative decision made by the Danville Planning Board regarding a subdivision approval made on September 8, 2016 for Tax Map 2 Lot 75, owned by Delridge Realty. That appeal was subsequently denied, resulting in the Danville Board of Selectmen filing a motion for rehearing for the Planning Board's September 8, 2016 decision. This rehearing resulted in the Zoning Board of Adjustment reversing the Planning Board's decision. The owner of Tax Map 2 Lot 75 has filed a motion for rehearing for the reversal through their attorney.  The meeting on April 11th is to discuss the merits of having a public hearing regarding this most recent motion for rehearing.

Be advised, this is a public meeting of the Zoning Board of Adjustment, not a public hearing. The nature of the meeting may result in a quorum being present for other town boards, including the Heritage Commission, Planning Board, and Board of Selectmen. Testimony from the audience will be taken at the discretion of the Zoning Board.

The Board will also hold a public hearing on April 11, 2017 at 7:30pm in the Town Hall to discuss amending a special exception previously granted to Kristin Strout for the Danville Zoning Ordinance article IV.A.4.c.  This was to allow an accessory dwelling unit with 700 square feet; the state law has changd and a minimum of 750 square feet must be allowed. The property is located at 8 Gerry Drive, known as Tax Map 4, lot 105.

The complete files are available to the public in the Danville Selectmen’s office during normal business hours of 8am to 4pm, Monday through Friday.
