CONSERVATION
COMMISSION
Present: Judy Jervis, Sheila Johannesen, Walter Baird, Jason Holder, and Janet Denison-CC clerk
The meeting opened at 7:30
and was televised.
Sheila moved and Walter seconded
a motion to accept the August 6, 2009
minutes as written. The motion passed.
The Task Force is looking for
people to volunteer for this group. This is involving the I93
improvements. No one from this committee has time to commit to
this project
The latest draft that anyone
has is dated October 16, 2008. There was a discussion about ensuring
this is the draft that the attorneys are reviewing. Judy said
she will call Chris Giordano to see if he’s heard from Peter Loughlin.
Curt Springer will also be contacted to see about adding the map and
lot numbers to the technical description of the Tuckertown road boundaries.
A joint meeting has been set
for October 1 to review the Easement.
Jason reported that the pesticide
eradication went well; he estimated that 90% of the milfoil has been
eliminated. Jason said that the neighborhood watch-group needs
to be expanded. An estimate will need to be obtained for the next
treatment so that a warrant can be made for the next town ballot.
The email policy adopted by
the Heritage Commission will be reviewed to see about adopting a similar
policy for the Conservation Commission. This will be on the next
agenda.
Two more copies of the Conservation
Commission Handbook will be ordered.
The bulletin board on the front
of the town hall was purchased in order for the Conservation Commission
to have a space on which to place notices and other items of interest.
All three panels have been designated for use by other boards and committees.
At 8:20pm Jason moved and Walter
seconded a motion to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed
unanimously.
Minutes are
prepared by Janet S. Denison, clerk
