CONSERVATION COMMISSION

WORKSHOP MEETING

JANUARY 5,2006

Present: Chris Giordano (Chairperson), Judy Jervis, Ron Comeau, Jason Holder and Sheila Johannesen

Others Present: Curt Springer, Betsy Sanders and Phil Emilio

The meeting was called to order at 7:30PM and was not televised.

1. Survey Update- Chris said that he still had not received the information that the Commission had asked for from the other surveyor.  After a discussion the Commission decided to go with Doucet Survey.  Chris will notify them of the boards decision. 

2. Conservation Easement- the Commission reviewed the easement boilerplate sample.  The Commission discussed and amended some changes. The Commission also worked with Curt’s easement.  There were some questions that will need to be discussed with NH Audubon Society of New Hampshire. 

The following were some recommended changes the Commission discussed:                             

      1.  Purposes        change to read  ABCD ipo  ABDE

paragraph B   remove  ( the protection of the undeveloped water frontage along the (name of water body), to which the land area subject to the Easement granted hereby provides access and upon which it fronts).

add     The preservation of the quality of the surface water resources on the property, which flow into the Powwow River watersheds and Exeter River watersheds.

paragraph C  change word date to 2005

                      change  blank to read Town/City of  Danville, NH

                      change blank to read   which states “as a goal”      

2. Use Limitations

Paragraph B.  correct parcels needs to be added to the “and none of    ??  parcels

Paragraph K  add to the sentence but not for camping, horseback riding, mountain biking and hunting, atv, snowmobiles, target and shooting range.

3. Reserved Rights……….The Commission will discuss this with NH Audubon Society

Sections 4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13, is all legal verbiage.

The Commission discussed their next joint meeting.  February 2^nd or 16^th at 730pm.  The Clerk will send out a email to the boards.  There will be another joint meeting after this before the Commission will ask NH Audubon to meet again with us.

3.  Mosquito Spraying-   Chris said that Monday at 7:30PM, the Selectmen will be meeting with the town’s health officer and a company regarding mosquito spraying.
