CONSERVATION
COMMISSION
Present: Chris Giordano
(Chairperson), Laura Games and Sheila Johannesen.
Also Present: Virginia Eastman, Gordon
Hay and Sharon Thompson
The
meeting was called to order at 7:30pm and was not televised as the Steering
Committee was meeting in the main room and the Commission met in the smaller
room. The Commission advised the public
that there could be no votes taken, as they did not have a quorum.
The
Commission did review a Wetland Impact Dredge and Fill Application. Michael Wheeler, 23 Colby Road of Tax Map #3
Lots 96 & 97. Chris G. advised the
members he sent a letter already to the state regarding this. Laura explained to Chris G. that the members
should be reviewing this as a Commission before the letter was sent and advised
Chris G. to review the statues. (Letter
attached)
The
abutters voiced their concerns to the Commission; both abutters and Commission
reviewed the application.
a. Virginia Eastman received
her notification, letter inside addressed to Gordon Hay not Virginia
b. Gordon Hay received
notification post card from the post office, but post office could not find the
letter
c. Not all the abutters were
notified, across the street abutters were not
d. Plans were not clear
regarding impact of each plan
The
Commission agreed to walk the site on Sunday with applicant. The Commission will meet at 9:30am at the
corner of Red Pine & Colby for the site walk. Chris G. will contact Michael Wheeler.
